Mentoring by MEGT

Did you know that First Nations apprentices and trainees are eligible for 12 months of tailored mentoring at no cost?

Our team of qualified mentors is here to listen and support you throughout your apprenticeship. Our First Nations mentors act as a sounding board and provide culturally sensitive support and guidance to help you navigate any workplace issue or personal challenge.

You’ll have a safe space to share your concerns and goals, with mentors focused on empowering you and ensuring you are in the best possible position to complete your qualification. We can also work with your employer to help foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Along with one-on-one mentoring, MEGT offers:

  • Resources to help you navigate common challenges
  • Assistance and advice to help resolve short-term setbacks
  • Connections and referrals to specialist support services if needed

Meet Tyler, MEGT Mentor

I'm a proud Yorta Yorta man and MEGT Mentor in Queensland. With a background in primary healthcare and social and emotional support, I’m dedicated to fostering positive environments for MEGT apprentices and trainees. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy gaming on PlayStation, reading, and experimenting with new cooking techniques and recipes.
